I bought this to replace the 27 oz. Orca Tumbler, which over a 5 year period, has been with me through hell. It has survived numerous falls onto concrete and sub-zero Wisconsin winter temperatures (including a bad stretch of 40 to 50 below, ambient temps). The bottom is slightly out of round, from a number of 3 to 4 foot falls, out of a docked truck cab, but it still stands pretty stable. I broke the lid, dropping it on a icy frozen sidewalk while trying to carry too much into the house, and never really even needed to replace it. Granted it doesn't stay hot as long in the winter with a broken lid. This thing is a sentimental favorite, and I still use it as a household carafe. I opted to replace it with a slightly more convenient 22 oz size. And the wider opening of the 22 and 27 oz., means I can get my large hand inside to scrub it out when needed. I'll give a good product a good review. This Orca Tumbler deserves a great review.
